Somehow I managed to kick myself out of my own art studio, not that I have that much of a studio, but what I do have, has become a staging area for the numerous art classes I've been teaching from home during the Pandemic. A portion of my bedroom is at present a mini zoom studio.
However the time has come to get back to my own work, and I want to do something big, something special, and I'm hungry to get started. Here is the first legible sketch of my idea. Usually my very first attempts are barely more than scribbles. Two other renditions have further clarified and resolved the composition along with a watercolor study.
I don't often prepare to this extent, but in this case, the need to immerse myself totally is so enticing that these preliminary steps are but joyful anticipation of what's to come.
